FOUNDER | PRODUCT CREATOR
After an adventurous decade of volunteering in Americorps, Peace Corps, teaching in Japan, and working in Chicago - I felt a longing to return home to Iowa. I missed my family, and had no idea that very soon I would be starting my own.
Shortly after Nathan and I were married, on a family road trip in New Mexico, my new mother-in-law gave me her sugar scrub recipe. Two months later, she gave me a crispy $100 bill to "do something fun." Those two things became Lillie & Pine (named after the streets we grew up on).
As the founder and product creator, it's my deep wish that Lillie & Pine brings joy to your life and your home.

After 25 years working at St. Ambrose University, I convinced Mom to 'rewire' in February 2018 and join me at Lillie & Pine. Kathy brings the organizational and management skills she learned at St. Ambrose and introduced me to these things called file folders and other organizational game changers.
Always a life-long learner, Kathy has quickly mastered the art and science of producing, packaging and shipping handmade products. Kathy's creativity and attention to detail has influenced Lillie & Pine's signature style even before she joined the team.

If you have received a bar of Lillie & Pine soap, it was likely beveled, smoothed and wrapped by my dad. He is our team soap snob and doesn't even let us cut they labels because we don't get them perfectly straight.
When Steve joined Lillie & Pine in 2019, he brought valuable insight into every area of our business from inventory organization to graphic design. A former UPS man, Steve has upgraded our packing skills to a new level. He is also a popular character to our Instagram community, even though he rolls his eyes at social media.
